In [Two] Art is a Maitland Regional Gallery touring exhibition and is currently showing locally, at Grafton Regional Gallery. This ambitious exhibition is curated by Joseph Eisenberg and presents new work by sixty of Australia’s leading artists drawn from across five Australian states and the ACT.

“Curated by Joseph Eisenberg, In[Two]Art presents new work by sixty of Australia’s leading artists (thirty artistic and life couples) drawn from across five Australian states and the ACT.

The twist in the exhibition is that the sixty artists are thirty pairs of artist couples. They include Judith White and Michel Brouet; Rick Amor and Meg Williams; Helen Eagar and Christopher Hodges; David Fairbairn and Suzanne Archer; Wendy Sharpe and Bernard Ollis; Darren Bryant and Joanna Kambourian; and Alun Leach–Jones and Nola Jones.

The selected couples present the diversity of practice, medium and style of contemporary Australian art. With support from the extensive catalogue the exhibition provides a fascinating visit to the Grafton Regional Gallery.

In [Two] Art explores the subtle similarities that can be found or inferred between the works of two artists who are also lovers; confidants; friends; and life-partners. It also poses the many situations that may arise between two creative, expressive people with common lives who are at the one time each other’s closest admirer and critic.”

We are particularly honoured to be amongst the company we are in, in this exhibition, hope you’ll get to see it while it’s in the area, Here’s the Grafton’s current gallery program, featuring my work on the cover! In [Two] Art will be at the Grafton Regional Gallery until the end of July.
