12-13th of Nov was the 2010 2high festival in Bris-vegas. Held at the gorgeous Powerhouse (what a venue!) right on the river, it turned out to be a beautiful weekend despite the forecast of showers. Having planned a collaboration between myself and Ross McMaster (aka Ray Guevara) to live screen print wallpaper and install – rain was the last thing that was needed!

Over the course of the weekend’s amazing festivities, which included all manner of creative output, including live performances by bands like The Honey Month (awesome!)  and Lion Island (particularly awesome), just to name two of my faves from the weekend.

The work which we installed and worked on over the festival was intended as a live screenprint ‘duel’ of sorts as we began with two different patterns derived from our personal practices and overprinted and altered each others images, creating a large wallpaper like work which was changing and evolving over the weekend. It was a fantastic and challenging opportunity to show the printing process as a performative and intrinsic part of the work and a great chance to be involved in such a fantastic youth and emerging arts initiative.
