Print Workshops in August

To celebrate the annual Arts in August events here in Lismore & surrounding villages, Lismore Art Space will be putting on workshops a range of creative processes and mediums, with a focus on printmaking, design & public art.

Darren & I are hosting the printmaking workshops and coming up first this Saturday we’re teaching Kitchen Lithography.

Lithography is a beautiful traditional printing process, which uses often hazardous and expensive materials. Kitchen Litho presents a non-toxic simple and accessible alternative to traditional lithography using products found in the home.

It mirrors the process of traditional lithography in it’s ability to print directly from hand drawn plates, enabling the artist to produce editioned works from hand made marks.

It is a chaotic and often very experiemental process and results can vary widely, depending on a number of factors!

Participants will spend the day learning about kitchen litho and make a selection of prints using the process.

The workshop is limited to 6 participants, and we still have a few places left. Don’t miss out, Book in online just click the button below!

We’re also holding a Drypoint & Monotype Printmaking Workshop on the 22nd August and a Zine & Introduction to Artists Books Workshop on the 29th August. To find out more and to book in just click on the links above.

Hope to see you around the press in August!
