Ms Browns Press provides access to a range of printmaking equipment and facilities for etching, screen printing, relief printing, monoprinting, lithography, letterpress and bookmaking.
The Press aims to provide a friendly and relaxed environment in which to work and to meet other artists. The press is evolving and we hope to develop a community atmosphere that also supports the artists who utilise the services, including a seasonal exhibition of work made through the studio, print exchanges and collaborations as well as to provide networking and professional promotion opportunities. Artists are eligible to make use of the Open Access Studio to produce their own work as long as they can demonstrate that they have experience in printmaking, can work independently, and are proficient in handling printing equipment and materials.
The Press is managed by Master Printer Darren Bryant. Darren has 21 years experience as a printmaker and has extensive knowledge regarding printing processes by hand as well as having 15 years experience teaching printmaking. Darren is available to support print projects as a technician or master printer and together with Joanna can provide editioning services, commissioned prints and bookbinding.

Ms Browns Press also offers regular workshops and classes in Printmaking & Artists Books, info about current and past workshops are found here. We produce limited edition handmade and digital prints, print & type samplers, hand-bound journals and other printed and paper ephemera…these can be found for sale in our shop “from the Studio Floor”.
