The Lismore Regional Gallery has organised a fantastic set of workshops as part of the DUO exhibition called WONDER-FULL DAY. The workshops are run by the DUO pairs, who have worked together for the exhibition DUO: learning the ropes. This exhibition brought together a professional artist and a young person in a creative mentoring exchange.

DRAWING ANIMALS

Time: 11am – 2pm Age group: 4 and up

Wonder-Full Day – Venue: Outside the gallery

Cut, colour, collage, and create colourful kooky critters with Michelle Dawson and Lucy Murray (7 years). Using a variety of fun stuff such as Textas, glitter, glue and drawing and collage, you will create a world of fantastical beings. Come along and let your imagination and materials run wild in our magical land of made-up, mythical animals and monsters!

BADGEMAKING WORKSHOP

Thursday 3 July, Time: 11am – 2pm Age group: 4 and up

Wonder-Full Day – Venue: Outside the gallery

Join Jesse Mackintosh and Corey Bruggy (12 years) for a badgemaking workshop. Jesse is a local artist with 10 years experience making badges for bands, environmental and political groups, as well his own artistic designs. You will have a chance to draw and collage, or bring images from home to make your own badge.

 

DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY

Thursday 10 July, Time: 10am – 1pm

Age group: 11 to 18

Cost: $30

Wonder-Full Day – Venue: Lismore Art Space, 1 Norris Street Lismore BOOKINGS to be made through Lismore Regional Gallery

Discover basic digital photography techniques from photographer Michael Moynihan and Alby Moran (14 years). Learn about lighting, composition and how to take a really good photo. Bring your digital camera, smart phone, IPad, or laptop computer.

STENCIL SCREENPRINTING ONTO FABRIC

Thusrday 10 July, Time: 1.30pm – 4.30pm

Wonder-Full Day– Venue: Lismore Art Space, 1 Norris Street Lismore. BOOKINGS to be made through Lismore Regional Gallery

Age group: 11 to 18

Cost: $30

Learn the process of screenprinting and create your own patterns and colour. Design a hand-cut stencil screenprint with Joanna Kambourian and Audrey Bush (11 years). Print onto Tote bags (provided), or bring your own t-shirt or pillowcase to print onto. All printing materials provided. Bring an apron or art shirt to protect your clothes.
