Neon Imaginarium

The DUO Art Program is a fantastic initiative by Lismore Regional Gallery.

The project pairs 6 local artists with 6 young people in the community, to offer them the experience of working with a practicing artist whilst collaborating in the process of making work for exhibition later in the year at the Gallery.

I was paired with Audrey, and our collection of works from the project is titled ‘Neon Imaginarium” which has been inspired by a mutual love for pattern, geometry, nature and colour.

The works feature screen prints on paper & fabric, with patterns made from our own original collaborative ink drawings. Our exhibition included cushions in a variety of shapes, folded paper pyramids that hang from the ceiling, collages, wallpapered walls and paper murals dancing around the installed work.
